Customers & CRM

Bring your customers, jobs and invoices across from 12 rival systems

The reason people stay on software they dislike is the thought of moving. Gaffer imports customers, jobs, quotes, invoices and line items directly from twelve competitor systems — or from a CSV if you are coming off a spreadsheet — so switching is an afternoon, not a quarter.

How importing works in Gaffer

Connect the old system or upload a file, map the fields, and review before anything is committed.

Twelve systems supported

ServiceM8, Jobber, Tradify, Commusoft, simPRO, Workiz, BigChange, Fergus, JobLogic, ServiceTitan, YourTradebase and Housecall Pro — plus CSV for anything else.

Records, not just contacts

Customers, jobs, quotes, invoices and their line items come across, so your history arrives with the contacts rather than a name and a phone number.

Reviewed before it lands

Imports are tracked as records you can inspect, so you see what came in rather than discovering a duplicated customer list afterwards.

What you get

Importing is built into onboarding, so it happens during setup rather than as a project.

  • Direct import from twelve named competitor systems
  • CSV import for spreadsheets and unsupported systems
  • Customers, jobs, quotes, invoices and line items all supported
  • Import runs tracked as records you can review
  • Available during onboarding and any time afterwards
  • Existing data is not overwritten without review
  • Part of the platform — no migration fee, no consultant

Common questions about import from your old software

Which systems can I import from?

ServiceM8, Jobber, Tradify, Commusoft, simPRO, Workiz, BigChange, Fergus, JobLogic, ServiceTitan, YourTradebase and Housecall Pro, plus CSV upload for anything not on that list — including a plain spreadsheet.

Will my invoice history come across?

Invoices and their line items are part of the import, along with customers, jobs and quotes. That matters because customer history is most of what makes your database worth keeping.

Do I need the old system's API credentials?

For the direct integrations you connect the account through an authorisation step. Some providers require credentials from your account; where a live connection is not available, exporting to CSV and importing that route always works.

What if the import goes wrong?

Imports are recorded as runs you can inspect, so you can see exactly what was brought in rather than guessing. Starting on a trial account with no card required means you can test the import before committing to anything.
