A REST API covering everything the apps can do

Gaffer is API-first by construction — the web app and the mobile app are both clients of the same REST API, so there is no operation available in the product that is unavailable to you. Around 1,274 endpoints under /api/v1, with bearer token auth and outbound webhooks for events.

Part of integrations in Gaffer, which replaces exporting CSVs and typing them in again.

Enterprise plan. This one sits on the contact-sales Enterprise plan with multi-site support and white-label. See what that includes →

Step 06 of the job: paid

The customer pays by card, Apple Pay or Direct Debit. Xero or QuickBooks are updated. A review request goes out. And eleven months later, the annual service reminder books the next job.

Integrations is where developer API sits, and that is the step it shows up in most. The rest of the job — quoting, scheduling, certificates, invoicing and payment — runs in the same system, on the same record. See the whole job →

What is developer API for?

Gaffer is API-first by construction — the web app and the mobile app are both clients of the same REST API, so there is no operation available in the product that is unavailable to you. What happens if the connection breaks?

Records queue rather than vanish, failures are retried, and anything that still cannot be pushed is surfaced for you to resolve. You are told, rather than finding out at year end.

Do I have to stop using my accountant?

No, and they will probably prefer this. The books stay in Xero, QuickBooks or Sage — Gaffer keeps them current so there is nothing to reconcile by hand at month end.

Which plan is it on?

Developer API sits on the Enterprise plan, alongside multi-site support, white-label and a dedicated account manager. Everything else in Gaffer is on every paid plan; talk to us and we will tell you honestly whether you need Enterprise or not.

Developer API sits on the Enterprise plan.

Multi-site, white-label, API access and the tender tools are not on the self-serve plans. Tell us how many branches and how many people and we will tell you in one email whether you need Enterprise — most businesses under about fifteen do not. The 14-day trial gives you everything else with no card.
