- Every delivery is signed with HMAC-SHA256, so the receiver can prove it came from you
- Failed deliveries retry on a backoff and land in a dead-letter list rather than vanishing

What happens if the connection breaks?
Records queue rather than vanish, failures are retried, and anything that still cannot be pushed is surfaced for you to resolve. You are told, rather than finding out at year end.
Do I have to stop using my accountant?
No, and they will probably prefer this. The books stay in Xero, QuickBooks or Sage — Gaffer keeps them current so there is nothing to reconcile by hand at month end.
