Delivery notes that record what actually turned up

The gap between what you ordered and what arrived is where disputes start. Gaffer records the delivery against the purchase order and the site, with the items received, whether everything came, whether the condition was satisfactory, and any discrepancy — signed for by a named person.

Part of assets, stock & fleet in Gaffer, which replaces a stock take once a year and a glovebox full of receipts.

What are delivery notes for?

Does stock come off when it is used on a job?

Yes. Materials added to a job move the stock, and the movement is recorded with the job it went to, so the count and the job cost agree with each other.

Can I track customer equipment as well as my own?

Both. An asset belongs to a customer and a site or to your own business, and either can carry a service schedule that turns into booked work when it falls due.

Which plan is it on?

Every paid plan. Delivery notes is included for unlimited users at no extra cost — the monthly, annual and lifetime plans differ only in how you pay.
